Strengthening Drought Resilience programme
The German Development Cooperation’s Strengthening Drought Resilience (SDR) Programme, aims to offer livelihood options through a new and holistic approach of soil and water conservation rehabilitating degraded landscapes and use them productively. Together with its government partners, GIZ-SDR and KfW work to implement measures adapted to the local environment and context of life to strengthen resilience of pastoral communities affected by droughts and floods in Afar and Somali regions.
